The floors are rising fast for Propiteer’s Hilton Garden Inn at Fletton Quays, Peterborough. When finished, the nine-storey, 160-room focused service hotel will fill city’s current gap for a much-needed luxury hotel for tourism and business users in a sustainable and revitalised city centre.
On-track to be finished in 2022, the hotel is being built at a rate of one floor per 3 weeks – and showing no signs of slowdown.
Once constructed, the hotel will boast 160 bedrooms, four flexible meeting function/meeting suits, a state of the art Hilton Fitness Centre, and a riverside bar and restaurant. It’ll also have a Sky Bar with incredible views across the city, accessible with a dedicated glass feature lift.
It’s a game changer for Peterborough. We have worked very hard over the last few years to overcome obstacles including trying to get funding arranged and making sure we have the right contracts in line to take this
project forward.Hilton is in many large markets around the UK. Traditionally we focus on airports, transport hubs, town centres. Peterborough had what we call the ‘Hilton effect’. We are very excited as we are able to raise the profile of the city. It’s a great advert for Peterborough, not just locally or nationally but globally.
