Belfast will soon be home to a brand new Moxy by Marriot hotel, thanks to Propiteer Hotels. Moxy – Marriot International’s newest and edgiest brand – serves as “a playground that attracts Fun Hunter travellers” and is well suited to urban/metro areas. The Belfast Moxy will take pride of place in the heart of the city’s Cathedral Quarter, one of Belfast’s most prominent locations with vibrant nightlife and live bands – think Belfast’s answer to Temple Bar in Dublin. On top of an incredible Sky Bar and 172 keyless entry, “small footprint, big offering” rooms, it’ll also be the first Moxy granted by Marriott to serve a full breakfast – the traditional “Ulster Fry”.
Propiteer Capital Founder and Propiteer Limited CEO Dave Marshall was invited to meet Alderman Frank McCoubrey, Lord Mayor of Belfast, and Suzanne Wylie, Chief Executive of Belfast City Council, to discuss how Propiteer can play their part in bringing tourism in Belfast.
I was delighted to welcome Dave and his team to City Hall during my term, to learn more about their plans to invest in Belfast. I believe that the development projects that Dave outlined are critical to our economic success, especially if we are to compete effectively as we emerge from the pandemic. I look forward to continuing to working with him as the plans come to fruition in the months ahead.
Alderman Frank McCoubrey, Lord Mayor of Belfast
